Student Financial Services has received multiple calls in regards to the phishing email sent to students on July 29, 2019. The email was sent with the subject line of “Financial Aid on Hold – Action Required”. This email was NOT sent from Student Financial Services. Please DO NOT click on the link! Please make sure to forward this phishing email, and any future suspect emails you may receive, to Information Technology Services at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All Financial Aid email communications sent to students can be verified through myWSU by clicking on your “My Comm Center” tile or you can call the Student Financial Services office to verify that the email is correct. If you have outstanding documents to submit to SFS, you will see those on your “To Do” list in myWSU.
Reminder: If you are planning to submit any documents that have personal information, make sure to use our secure SubmitSFSDocs portal on Student Financial Services homepage.
