Got a Spine Scholarship

Eligibility

1) Be attending college or university no later than October of 2023.

2) Be attending college or university on a full-time basis by October of 2023.

3) Have achieved a GPA of 2.5 or greater during their last academic year.

4) Be a U.S. or Canadian resident.

5) Be attending a school in the U.S. or Canada by October of 2023.

6) Submit answers to the essay questions no later than 11:59 PM EST on the day of the deadline.

LM Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Currently enrolled or expected to enroll in a degree program by September
  • 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Resident of the US or Canadian

Essay Topic

Write an essay about a situation you have been involved in or someone you know has been involved in where better safety procedures would have prevented an injury. Explain in detail what safety procedures you believe should have been in place to prevent the injury and how they would have prevented the injury.

Connex Foundation Scholarships

Eligibility

  • Be a United States or Canadian citizen or permanent legal resident
  • At a minimum, a graduating high school senior or equivalent (GED)
  • Plan to enroll as a full-time student
  • Have a cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • Have a history of active involvement in extra-curricular activities, community service, or work experience

The purpose of the Connex Foundation Scholarship is to assist individuals who are exploring the study of skilled trades or multi-site facility management with the end goal of advancing their career in this field. The scholarship serves to promote the multi-site facilities industry by attracting high school, college-level, career transitioning, adult re-entry, and veteran students into the field of study and encouraging their pursuit with financial support.

The Connex Foundation will award scholarships up to $5,000 each in 2023 to individuals pursuing a career in the skilled trades (example: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry), construction and/or facility management industry. The scholarships will be awarded to deserving Canadian individuals and deserving U.S. individuals.
The deadline to submit an application for consideration is March 12, 2023.

Clark E. DeHaven Scholarship

Eligibility

  • You must be enrolled in a college or university that is a member of NACUFS.
  • You must be enrolled full-time, be in good standing, and have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
  • You must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen and attend college in the U.S. or Canada during the scholarship award year.
  • You must be a current sophomore, junior, or senior majoring in a foodservice related field and are planning a career in the foodservice industry.
  • you must have at least one semester of school remaining, beginning fall semester 2022, before graduation.

The scholarship is intended for use during the traditional academic year (fall through spring) for academic purposes such as tuition, fees, room and board, or books. Scholarships will be awarded for full-time undergraduate study only.

Airgas – Terry Jarvis Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Must be an undergraduate student pursuing a minimum four-year bachelors degree in welding engineering (WE) or welding engineering technology (WET).
  • Applicant must be a minimum of eighteen years of age.
  • Applicant must have a minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Applicant must be a full-time student as defined by the academic institution.
  • Applicant must have at least a 2.8 overall grade point average with a 3.0 grade point average in engineering courses.
  • Financial need is not required; however, priority will be given to those individuals demonstrating a financial need.
  • Priority will be given to those individuals who demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career with an industrial gas or welding equipment distributor by prior work experience, clubs, organizations or extra-curricular activities.
  • Applicant must be a citizen of the United States or Canada and plan to attend an academic institution located within the United States or Canada.
  • Priority will be given to those individuals residing or attending school in the states of Alabama, Georgia or Florida. (A resident is defined as having lived in the specified area for a minimum of one year.)

Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes

Eligibility

  • Between the ages of 8 and 18 (not yet age 19)
  • Permanent residents of and currently residing in the U.S.A. or Canada
  • Currently working on an inspiring service project or have done so within the past 12 months
  • Working as an individual to lead their service work. The Barron Prize does not accept applications from large groups of young people.
