American Association of University Women Seattle Branch SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility

  • Must have 90 credit hours completed.
  • Must be a woman attending a 4 year public university in Washington State.
  • Must be US Citizen Or US Permanent Resident.

Hyundai Women in Stem Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • High school seniors and college undergraduates who identify as female, reside in the United States and wish to pursue a STEM-related field of education.

How to Apply:

  • At Hyundai, we are driven by better. Write an essay of 500 words or more on what has driven you to choose a STEM-related field for your future.
  • Place your essay in a Google doc, with your name and year in a university program at the top (2020 graduating high school seniors allowed).
  • Answer the following essay question in 500 words or more in English:
    • What has driven you to choose a STEM-related field for your future.
  • Submit your application through the online form and remember to include a link to your essay.

Worthy Women’s Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolled in a continuing education professional studies program
  • Submissions must be sent in from the valid email address of the author
  • Applicant must be a permanent resident of the United States
  • Applicant must identify as a female and be age 30 or older

How to Apply:

  • For your essay, please answer each of the three questions below in 300-500 words. We are looking for answers that are honest, thoughtful, and well-written.Please note that while relevant background information is always appreciated, we ask that you remain topic-focused in your answer.
    • How will you change the world? Describe a change you want to make in the world. How do you plan to make it and how will this scholarship help you?

    • What do you hope to achieve in life? Describe 3 achievements that you either have made or plan to make in life. Why are/were these important to you? What do/did you need to do to achieve them?

    • Why have you chosen this path? Tell us why is the degree you have chosen to pursue is important to you?

EWS SWE Framatome Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Be a female student who has completed at least one-year studies in an ABET accredited school with the intention to enter the field of engineering.
  • Be in position to accept the scholarship toward undergraduate or graduate engineering studies in an accredited school in the fall following presentation of the award.
  • Be a woman residing in or attending school in the eastern part of Washington State.

Required Application Materials

All application material will become the property of the Eastern Washington Section of the Society of Women Engineers. No application materials will be returned. In order to be accepted for judging, all of the following materials must be submitted:

  • Application Form: to be completed electronically.
  • Transcripts: Scanned official copy of the applicant’s transcript showing grades for the entire enrollment in current and/or prior college(s).
  •  Letters of Reference:
    • From the Engineering Department Head, a professor, or a faculty councilor.
    • From an individual who has personally known the applicant for a minimum of 3 years and who is not a relative to the applicant.

WWIN Star Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • You are female, as indicated on your Washington State Identification
  • You are or will be 18 years of age or older at the time you begin school
  • You have lived in Washington for the past twelve (12) months
  • You are a United States citizen, permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or current DACA recipient to the United States
  • You are admitted into or registered at an approved college or university that is in good standing with the State Need Grant Program and are working toward a certificate, technical degree, associate’s degree or first bachelor’s degree.
  • If you are currently attending school your cumulative GPA is at or above a 2.50
  • You demonstrate financial need to support your higher education.

How to Apply:

Applicants must complete the online application form to be considered for the Star Scholars program. The link below will take you to the online form.

No e-mailed, faxed, or mailed application forms will be considered. However, you may e-mail, fax, or mail supporting documentation.

Please note that as part of the application process, we require the following supporting documentation:

  • Copy of your Valid Washington State Drivers License or Washington State Identification
  • Copy of your Social Security Card or Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
  • Your 2020-2021 Student Aid Report (SAR), which you should have received electronically after completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSAor Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA)
  • Tax Returns used to prepare the 2020-2021 FAFSA or WASFA. If you are a dependent student, this will include your parent’s tax return.
  • Verification of acceptance or enrollment from your school
  • If you are a current student, a copy of your unofficial transcripts showing a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above
  • 2020-2021 financial aid award letter from the school you will be attending will be required to be submitted as soon as it is available from your school.

Pathable Scholarship 2020 Women in Computer Science

Scholarship Criteria:

  • Must be pursuing a career in computer science or technology-related field
  • Must have at least two semesters of coursework remaining

How to Apply:

Please answer the following questions:

  • What drew you to technology and computer science as a career direction?
  • Describe a relevant project that you have worked on that you found particularly challenging, meaningful and/or rewarding.
  • Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

1000 Dreams Fund

Eligibility:

  • The students eligible for assistance shall be women attending high school or a two-year or four-year college/university in the United States.
  • Students must demonstrate financial need. Applications must include two letters of recommendation and an essay explaining how the grant would be used.
  • Selection will be based on application contents, financial need and information gathered from letter(s) of recommendation.
  • Previous recipients are not eligible to reapply.

  • You will need to include two letter of recommendation
  • You will also be required to submit an essay explaining how you would use the grant fund.

ExpoMarketing “Women in Business” Scholarship Program

Eligibility

  • Must be a woman
  • Must be a current undergraduate students pursuing a career in business.
  • Incoming, full-time, and part-time students are eligible, but you need to be currently enrolled.

The John Fife Female Business Leadership Encouragement Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Women or female-identifying student
  • Junior or senior year at any accredited college or university
  • Business-related undergraduate major

How to Apply

  • Complete the application found online.
    • One recommendation from a faculty member in the major field of study.
    • One recommendation from an employer, volunteer supervisor, or academic advisor.
    • An essay of 1000 words or less that clearly answers two specific questions:
      • What modern, living woman do you admire and why? What qualities about her contribute positively to the world of business?
      • How do you see the landscape of business changing in the next few years in regards to women in business and how would you like to contribute to the advancement of women business leaders in your future profession?
    • Verification of current enrollment from the university/college/institute registrar.
    • List and include official detailed transcripts of grades or equivalent records for all universities, colleges, or institutes attended with an explanation of the grading system for each transcript submitted.
    • All non-English documents must be translated into English.

The Gorilla 76 Women in Marketing Scholarship
