Eligibility

  • Identify as Transgender
  • Plan to pursue a degree, or currently pursuing a degree, at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Be a U.S. Citizen

The Visto Bill Caspare Memorial Fund Diversity Scholarship

Eligibility

  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • African American, Asian American, Hispanic American, Native American, or multiracial
  • Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, or Queer
  • Full-time student
  • Rising undergraduate junior or senior, or enrolling/enrolled in graduate school at the time of application
  • GPA of 3.25 or above
  • Interested in pursuing a career in New Media/Digital Advertising and/or Data Science

2018 Project Female Transgender Youth Scholarship Fund

Eligibility

  • Identify as Transgender or Intersex
  • Be out about sexual orientation/identity
  • Be under 25 years of age at the date of application
  • Be currently enrolled in high school or college
  • Be a U.S. Citizen
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or better

How to Apply

  • Submit the following:
    • Completed and signed 2018 Transgender Youth Scholarship Application Form.
    • A written or video essay addressing the following questions:
      • Tell us your coming out story. How did you come to know your gender identity?
      • How has being trans affected your life? You may be as specific as you like. For example, you could tell a story about an experience you’ve had that a cis person could not have had.
      • How do you want to see the experiences of future trans youth be different from your own? What are you willing to do to make that future a reality?
    • Proof of current enrollment in high school or college.
    • A copy of your school transcript issued within the last 6 months.
    • One letter of recommendation.
    • Two different photos of yourself suitable for print.

LEAGUE Foundation LGBTQ Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Be graduating from high school in the year he / she applies for a scholarship.
  • Be a United States Citizen or be a legal immigrant.
  • Be attending an accredited college, university, or vocational school within the United States or Canada. Proof of acceptance is required.
  • Provide an OFFICIAL copy of his / her high school transcript showing a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better using a 4.0 scale or equivalent. Weighted average can be used in this calculations. If the applicant’s high school does not use a numerical grading system, then a complete description of the measures of success and requirements for graduation is required.
  • Complete 2 personal essays as outlined on the application form.
  • Provide at least 2 letters of recommendation from non-family members.
  • Prepare a detailed list of community involvement. “Extra-Credit” is given to those activities and leadership roles relating directly to the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender communities.
  • Sign an acknowledgement form agreeing to the outlined terms and conditions of the application. (See application form)
