“Invest in Your Future” College Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Scholarship open to all majors.
  • Must be enrolled in a college or university located within the United States or its territories and accredited by the U.S. Department of Education (for a list of accredited institutions, see http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/Search.aspx) at the time of application and at the time the Scholarship is awarded.
  • Must be at least 17 years old at the time of application.
  • Must be a United States citizen and resident of the United States.
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA

How to Apply:

  • Students must also complete a 750-word essay on the topic of financial planning. Referring to these following questions:
    • What are your short and long-term financial goals? How do you plan to achieve these goals? What financial strategies (such as budgeting, investing, saving, and debt management) will you use and why?

Helen Cox Foundation

Eligibility

  • Resides in the Tri-Cities Area
  • Woman accepted into a business or accounting related major
  • Must be a standing junior in college
  • Demonstrates outstanding leadership qualities and presents a plan to maximize her career potential
  • Not a Soroptimist member or an immediate family member

Eligibility

  • Minimum GPA of 3.5
  • Majoring in business, accounting, finance, mathematics, management, and others related to the personal finance industry
  • Must be a U.S. Resident
  • Must be a current or future college student (e.g., high school senior)

How to Apply

  • Write an essay (between 500 and 900 words) on the following topics:
    • In 10 years, how do you see yourself impacting the finance industry?
  • Submit a copy of your official transcript
