ASMC Scholarships

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be a graduating high school senior in the final half of his/her school year, or a high school graduate within six months of the application deadline.
  • Students that have won a national scholarship in previous years may qualify for continuing assistance.
  • Applicant must be entering a field of study directly related to financial/resource management (such as
    business administration, economics, accounting, finance) Applications that do not fall within these fields will not be considered.

ASMC will award nine scholarships each year.
  • Application from high school applicants must have an ASMC chapter endorsement letter. Chapter presidents may submit up to two applications each award year. If a chapter submits more than two, the selection panel will review only the first two nominations received.
  • Nomination must be submitted through the Awards Online website. No local chapter forms are accepted.
  • High school applicants must have recommendation letter from an ASMC chapter president and an academic official, signed and dated.
  • Applications from prior winners will require document support of a GPA of 3.0 or higher and a letter from the academic institution confirming continued work in the area of financial management.

US Dairy Scholarship Program

Eligibility

  • Undergraduate student
  • Enrolled in program that emphasizes dairy

The National Dairy Promotion and Research Board (NDPRB), through Dairy Management Inc. (DMI), annually awards up to eleven $2,500 scholarships to eligible undergraduate students (rising sophomore through senior) enrolled in college/university programs that emphasize dairy. Majors include: communications/public relations, journalism, marketing, business, economics, nutrition, food science, and Ag education. In addition, the NDPRB awards a $3,500 James H. Loper Jr. Memorial Scholarship to the outstanding scholarship recipient.

Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, an interest in a career in a dairy-related discipline, and demonstrated leadership, initiative and integrity. Candidates are expected to fill out an online application, submit an official transcript of all college courses, and write a short statement describing their career aspirations, dairy-related activities and work experiences. The application information is evaluated by a NDPRB Scholarship Committee composed of an external review panel and at least two Board members. The recommendations of the Scholarship Committee are summarized by NDPRB staff and the scholarships are then awarded.

National Grocers Association Foundation Scholarships

Eligibility

  • Scholarships are available to rising college freshman through postgraduate studies (must be enrolled at the time of disbursement to be considered)
  • Must be enrolled in a U.S. or 4-year-degree-granting institution (including relevant postgraduate studies)
  • Majoring in Business, Food Management, Accounting, Human Resources, IT or other focuses leading to a career in grocery
  • Experience in the grocery industry is preferred but not required
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Must intend to pursue a career in independent grocery industry

The foundation administers 13 scholarships.  By completing one application, students will be considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible.

  2. Start an application to include demographic information and 3-4 personal statement essay questions. This can be saved at any point and edited at a later date prior to submission.

  4. Upload additional materials including, letter of recommendation(s), certificates, awards, etc.
  5. Save and submit your application once complete.

RMA Foundation Scholarships

Eligibility

  • Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada.
  • Be a current college student enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States or Canada and will continue to be enrolled full time for the entire 2023-2024 academic year.
  • Intends to work in the banking industry following graduation.
  • Maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale overall (or equivalent).
  • Applicants do not have to be a current RMA member, but they must join (free) and remain a member to receive and renew their scholarship.

Scholarship recipients are selected based on merit with the following factors:

  • Demonstrated interest in the banking industry; (Examples: previous employment in a bank; RMA membership; involvement in local RMA chapter; academic studies; internships).
  • Academic achievement.
  • Participation and leadership in community and school activities, or related work experience.
  • Statement of career goals and objectives.

Financial need will not be considered.

Griffin Ainsworth Scholarship

Eligibility

Applications for this scholarship are due March 31, 2023, and are an opportunity for any business student enrolled in an accredited school as an undergraduate or graduate student.

Study.com Scholarship for Economics Majors

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Must be enrolled, accepted, or a prospective student, in an economics program at an accredited school
  • Continuing their studies in the upcoming academic year
  • Have at least 30 semester or 45 quarter degree hours remaining
  • Agree to provide Study.com with a digital photograph and quote to be displayed on the site should they receive the award
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or hold Permanent U.S. Resident Status
  • High school seniors that meet the above requirements are welcome to apply.

PixelPlex Bi-Annual STEM Scholarship

Eligibility

  • You are a citizen or a permanent resident of the United States;
  • At the date of the award, you must be enrolled (or accepted with plans to attend) in a college or university in the United States;
  • Your field of study is related to science, technology, engineering, math (STEM), economics, or business.

How to Apply:

  • Send an email to scholarship@pixelplex.io with “PixelPlex Scholarship Award: Your Name” in the subject field.
  • In your submission email, write a short paragraph or two about yourself and why you chose the topic.
  • Attach your essay as a PDF or Microsoft Word document to the email. The length of the essay should be a minimum of 1200 words (there is no maximum word limit) and include an introduction and conclusion. The essay should be original text and not published anywhere.

“Invest in Your Future” College Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Scholarship open to all majors.
  • Must be enrolled in a college or university located within the United States or its territories and accredited by the U.S. Department of Education (for a list of accredited institutions, see http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/Search.aspx) at the time of application and at the time the Scholarship is awarded.
  • Must be at least 17 years old at the time of application.
  • Must be a United States citizen and resident of the United States.
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA

How to Apply:

  • Students must also complete a 750-word essay on the topic of financial planning. Referring to these following questions:
    • What are your short and long-term financial goals? How do you plan to achieve these goals? What financial strategies (such as budgeting, investing, saving, and debt management) will you use and why?

ABLE MOVING SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college or university and must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a business program.
  • Be in good academic standing and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

How to Apply:

  • An essay (maximum 1,000 words) addressing the following topic: 
    • “Share an experience with moving, whether it be to the next town, across the country, or internationally. What helped make the move easier? What challenges did you face?” 
  • An up-to-date resume
  • A current unofficial transcript from applicant’s college/university or high school

Homelight Scholarship

Note: There are two upcoming deadlines for this scholarship (04/15/2022 and 12/01/2022), the posted deadline is for latter scholarship.

Eligibility:

  • Any legal U.S. resident in high school or college who will be attending an accredited university or college in Fall 2022/Spring 2023 is eligible to apply (see deadline information on scholarship webpage).

How to Apply:

  • To apply, please submit a short piece of writing, that includes the following:
    • Why are you interested in real estate?
    • How will your career help more people find their dream home?
    • What impact have you had on homes or homelessness in your community?
