Nextiva Encouraging Tomorrow’s Leaders Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must be a high school junior or senior.
  • Applicant must plan to major in a business or STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) program.
  • Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Must be located in the United States.

How to Apply:

  • Write an Approximate 700 word essay on one of the following topics:
    • What are ways that a business can give back to the STEAM community?
    • Is the fragmentation of communication apps a good thing?
    • What are the biggest opportunities in today’s state of business communications?

2020 Golen Engine Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Must be a US citizen who is accepted or attending a college or university within the United States. The winner will be required to provide proof of acceptance to your college or university or college transcript.
  • Must be pursuing an engineering degree.

Deadline:

Applications must be submitted via the web form by November 30, 2020.

Washington State Opportunity Scholarship- Baccalaureate Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements:

  • RESIDENCY
    • Be a Washington state resident as defined by state Legislature (RCW 28B.15.012).
    • Earn a high school diploma or GED from a Washington state institution by June of the year of application.
  • FINANCIAL NEED
  • ACADEMIC RECORD
    • A cumulative grade point average (GPA) as of application date of at least 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale), demonstrated on either a current college or high school transcript; OR
    • A passing GED score, demonstrated on an official score report.
  • ENROLLMENT PLAN
    • Plan to pursue an eligible science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) or health care major as defined on the eligible majors list.
    • Plan to enroll at an eligible Washington state institution for the fall term following selection as defined on the list of eligible college and universities.
    • Plan to enroll at least half-time (six or more credits) every term. Scholars are not expected to enroll in nor does WSOS fund summer term.
  • PREVIOUS EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
    • Do not yet have a bachelor’s degree.
    • Applicant must currently be a:
      • High school senior or graduate (high school equivalency)
      • College freshman or college sophomore. If the applicant has completed any college terms or college credits post high-school, they must meet either the maximum term OR maximum credit requirement stated below:
        1. Maximum Terms Completed: The applicant must have completed no more than six quarters or four semesters of college at the end of the current academic year; OR
        2. Maximum Credits Earned: The applicant must have earned no more than 90 quarter or 60 semester credits at the end of the current academic year

Application Process

Interested applicants must complete the entire application process. Applicants must:

  1. Complete all application sections via the Scholarship Application Portal and click “Submit” by the application deadline.
  2. Mail a copy of your transcript or GED scores to WSOS c/o Baccalaureate Scholarship at this address: 1414 31st Ave S., Suite 302, Seattle, WA 98144.
  3. Submit the FAFSA or WASFA for the relevant academic year by the deadline on the application timeline.

The application will require approximately 60 to 90 minutes to complete. Applicants may start the application, save progress and return to complete it later up until the application deadline. Applicants should know what college they expect to attend and what major they intend to complete before beginning their application.

Rise Marketing STEM Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Must be an undergraduate or postgraduate student at an accredited University.
  • Must be majoring in a STEM field.

How to Apply:

  • Student must write a short essay about themselves.
  • Additionally the student must complete the online application found on the scholarships website.

 

STEM Lights Me Up Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Must be a full-time or part-time student at an accredited University or be a high school student during the 2019-2020 school year.
  • Must be or planning to be majoring in a STEM field.

How to Apply:

  • Write a 1,000 word essay of the following question:
    • “What lights you up about STEM?”
  • Then make sure to visit the scholarship website and fill out the online application.

Outeraudio’s Love of Audio Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Must be currently enrolled as a undergraduate or postgraduate at accredited University.
  • Must have a major in the following faculties:
    • Engineering
    • Technology
    • Design
    • Medicine
    • Sciences
    • Conservation/ Environmental Studies

How to Apply:

  • Write a 700+ word article covering one of the following topics:
    • How the front-end (functional) design of audio devices have changed over the last decade
    • How the back-end (technical) design of audio devices have changed over the last decade
    • What advances we should expect in audio devices over the next decade
    • How wireless technologies are affecting the use of audio devices
    • How audio devices are used in a growing outdoor lifestyle movement
    • How brands are marketing their audio devices in a crowded marketplace
    • How audio devices are used in medical technology for hearing assistance
  • Make sure to fill out the online application found on the scholarships website.

Pathable Scholarship 2020 Women in Computer Science

Scholarship Criteria:

  • Must be pursuing a career in computer science or technology-related field
  • Must have at least two semesters of coursework remaining

How to Apply:

Please answer the following questions:

  • What drew you to technology and computer science as a career direction?
  • Describe a relevant project that you have worked on that you found particularly challenging, meaningful and/or rewarding.
  • Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Required Materials:

AACE Seattle Section Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Must be a WA State resident.
  • Must be majoring in Architecture, Building Construction, Business Administration, Building Construction, Building Environment, Construction Management, Computer Science and/or Information Technology, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, all others), other relevant programs (subject to Seattle Section AACE International Board approval).
  • Must be attending a WA State College or University.
  • Must be an Undergraduate student.
  • Must have at least a 2.5 GPA.

Kloojj Scholarship – The Next Disruptive Technology

Eligibility

  • High school senior or enrolling/enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Pursuing degrees leading to careers in software, computer hardware, video game arts, engineering of life sciences (high school seniors must already be accepted into a program).
  • 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA.
  • US residents only.

How to Apply

  • Write an essay on the following:
    • What will be the most disruptive technology in the next 5 to 10 years? Your essay can be about any technology including software, hardware, mechanical, etc. You may refer to already emerging technologies, or completely new concepts you believe will emerge during this period.
    • Why do you believe it will be disruptive? Please explain in detail.
    • What will the technology disrupt (economy, business, social, politics, etc.) and how will the disruption happen?
    • What can people, companies, etc. do to make the transition?
    • Add any other aspects you feel are germane to your essay.
  • Create a video telling us about yourself, why you chose to apply for this scholarship, and summarize your idea and why you think the time is right for this disruptive technology to emerge. Phone recorded videos are fine.

Diceus Computer Science Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Must be a graduate of a public or accredited private high school.
  • Must be a first-year student in a computer engineering or computer science program at a US-based college or university, residing in US.
  • Must have a minimum composite SAT score of 1700 or ACT score of 27.
  • Must have strong theoretical background of programming, research, and math.
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Must be passionate about computer engineering.
