Be a current high school senior living with a disability (as defined by WHO), whether that be visual, hearing, mobility, cognitive, speech or other disability.
Plan to attend an undergraduate program in a 2 or 4-year University/College or Technical College in the fall of the academic year following high-school graduation. Schools must be in the USA or have a USA-Affiliate for financial transactions (contact Seattle Foundation to verify non-USA school’s eligibility).
Declare an approved major in engineering, computer science, computer information systems, law, business, or a related field (e.g. paralegal, pre-law, finance, business administration, or marketing).
Demonstrate a passion for technology.
Demonstrate leadership at school and/or in the community.
Have a high school cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Require financial assistance to attend college.
Enrollment status must be full-time or half-time.

ACADEMIC RECORD
A cumulative grade point average (GPA) as of application date of at least 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale), demonstrated on either a current college or high school transcript; OR

ENROLLMENT PLAN
Plan to pursue an eligible science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) or health care major as defined on the eligible majors list.
Plan to enroll at least half-time (six or more credits) every term. Scholars are not expected to enroll in nor does WSOS fund summer term.

College freshman or college sophomore. If the applicant has completed any college terms or college credits post high-school, they must meet either the maximum term OR maximum credit requirement stated below:
Maximum Terms Completed: The applicant must have completed no more than six quarters or four semesters of college at the end of the current academic year; OR
Maximum Credits Earned: The applicant must have earned no more than 90 quarter or 60 semester credits at the end of the current academic year

Graduates of Republic High School, Republic, WA.
Recipient shall be chosen based on scholarship and need with a preference given to those majoring in engineering and/or physical sciences.
If no such student in Engineering and/or physical sciences, any graduate of Republic High School may be awarded.
If no graduates of Republic High School are identified, the scholarship may be awarded to graduates from Ferry County.
The recipients of the scholarship will be encouraged to ultimately repay the monies to the fund, thus providing additional growth. There will be no legal obligation for recipients to repay funds. Repayments will be made to the Washington state University Foundation to be credited to this fund.
