Hospitality Management/Culinary Arts Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Intend to be enrolled in or accepted as full-time student in an accredited hospitality management / culinary arts program or related field
  • Be currently enrolled in or major in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts or related field
  • 2 years of work experience in the restaurant industry or a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • U.S citizen or permanent resident

Trotter Project Scholarships

Eligibility

  • Must have 2.5 or higher G.P.A. (unweighted).
  • Must be a high school senior, incoming, or current college student to qualify for scholarships.
  • Must be Culinary Arts, Baking/Pastry, Hospitality Management or Agriculture student.
  • Must Complete online application.
  • Must attend college/university in the U.S.

Must submit the following documents:

  • Resume highlighting community service, jobs/internships.

  • Transcript displaying cumulative G.P.A. weighted/unweighted.

  • Letter of recommendation from someone who can discuss candidate’s academic achievements and/or character.

  • Video expressing how you pursue excellence, your interest in culinary arts/hospitality/baking & pastry/agriculture and long-term goals. This is your opportunity to express individuality/creativity, passion, commitment, and any other positive qualities. Videos should not exceed three minutes.

  • COLLEGE STUDENTS ONLY – Must submit documentation from college/university demonstrating a remaining balance/financial need.

National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation Scholarships

Eligibility

  • Any undergraduate student or individual enrolled or accepted as a full-time or part-time student at an accredited post-secondary institution
  • Anyone majoring in a restaurant, foodservice, or hospitality-related program
  • Anyone NOT related to any employees or family members of the National Restaurant Association, National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, or any State Restaurant Association

Each year, the NRAEF awards more than $1.2 million in scholarships to individuals pursuing a post-secondary degree in the restaurant, foodservice, and hospitality industry.

National Grocers Association Foundation Scholarships

Eligibility

  • Scholarships are available to rising college freshman through postgraduate studies (must be enrolled at the time of disbursement to be considered)
  • Must be enrolled in a U.S. or 4-year-degree-granting institution (including relevant postgraduate studies)
  • Majoring in Business, Food Management, Accounting, Human Resources, IT or other focuses leading to a career in grocery
  • Experience in the grocery industry is preferred but not required
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Must intend to pursue a career in independent grocery industry

The foundation administers 13 scholarships.  By completing one application, students will be considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible.

  1. Create a profile
  2. Start an application to include demographic information and 3-4 personal statement essay questions. This can be saved at any point and edited at a later date prior to submission.
  3. Upload your Official or unofficial transcript
  4. Upload additional materials including, letter of recommendation(s), certificates, awards, etc.
  5. Save and submit your application once complete.

Incomplete applications will not be considered. ​

 

Clark E. DeHaven Scholarship

Eligibility

  • You must be enrolled in a college or university that is a member of NACUFS.
  • You must be enrolled full-time, be in good standing, and have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
  • You must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen and attend college in the U.S. or Canada during the scholarship award year.
  • You must be a current sophomore, junior, or senior majoring in a foodservice related field and are planning a career in the foodservice industry.
  • you must have at least one semester of school remaining, beginning fall semester 2022, before graduation.

More Details

The scholarship is intended for use during the traditional academic year (fall through spring) for academic purposes such as tuition, fees, room and board, or books. Scholarships will be awarded for full-time undergraduate study only.

Griffin Ainsworth Scholarship

Eligibility

Applications for this scholarship are due March 31, 2023, and are an opportunity for any business student enrolled in an accredited school as an undergraduate or graduate student.

WebstaurantStore Foodservice and Hospitality Scholarship

  • Must be majoring in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a closely related field.

ABLE MOVING SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college or university and must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a business program.
  • Be in good academic standing and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

How to Apply:

  • An essay (maximum 1,000 words) addressing the following topic: 
    • “Share an experience with moving, whether it be to the next town, across the country, or internationally. What helped make the move easier? What challenges did you face?” 
  • An up-to-date resume
  • A current unofficial transcript from applicant’s college/university or high school
