Scholarship for Future Medical Professionals

Eligibility

  • Must have a minimum 3.5 GPA.
  • Must be accepted to or enrolled in an accredited college or university in the United States.

How to Apply:

  • To apply for the scholarship, please submit an essay addressing the following:
    • In 500 words or less, please tell what has inspired you to pursue a medical career, and how do you plan to use your education to better the lives of others.

The “Save a Life” Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Any student currently enrolled in, or applying to enroll within the next academic year, in a degree program in the fields of healthcare or education, at an accredited U.S. university, is eligible to apply.
  • You must provide your school GPA.
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • We take a broad view of what counts as a “healthcare field,” and that can include students pursuing mental health degrees or occupations, as well as administrative and non-profit programs. Applicants will have the opportunity to make their case for why their chosen field of study can be classified as healthcare or education-focused as part of their essay.
  • If you aren’t selected, that doesn’t mean we aren’t interested in your story — we still want to hear from you! Unsuccessful applicants may re-apply in subsequent scholarship rounds. Scholarships will only be awarded one time to each winner. Past winners are not eligible to apply again.
  • Please do not send emails asking if your essay was received. Unless you receive a failure to deliver message, then we have received your submission.

  • Applicants will not be notified if they were not selected. Please do not email us asking if or when a winner has been selected. Winners are selected approximately 30 days after each scholarship deadline.
  • Scholarship winner will need to submit a photo copy of government issued state identification card or driver license.

How to Apply:

  •  Write a scholarship essay of between 750 and 1,000 words, explaining your career aspirations, how you plan to advance healthcare and/or education through your work, and what inspired you to commit yourself to this field. Your scholarship essay can be attached as a Word file, or linked as a Google Doc.

Explore Medical Careers Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be citizens of the U.S.
  • Applicants must pursue a medical-related career.
  • Applicants must show proof of enrollment to their current school

How to Apply:

  • Write a 1000+ word essay titled: “How to remedy the healthcare industry in the United States and provide affordable care”.

Dr. Robin Unger Medical Impact Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Applicants must have a current GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Must plan to be enrolled in either an undergraduate or a graduate program in the U.S.
  • Applicants must provide a resume

How to Apply:

  • Please write an essay of at least 500 words addressing how they plan to help others through their pursuit of medicine.

STEM Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Citizen or a permanent United States resident
  • At least 18 years old at the date of entry
  • At the date of the award, you must be enrolled (or accepted with plans to attend) a college or university in the United States listed here
  • Minimum GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
  • Field of study is related to science, technology, engineering, math (STEM)

How to Apply:

  • To apply for this scholarship, first create a Course Hero account, then write a 500-word essay answering the following question:
    • ‘Smart city technology can be almost invisible to their residents, and many people may not be aware of how technology is boosting safety, livability and more in these cities. What’s one current or coming technology that is changing or will change how cities work?’

DR. ARTHUR A. KEZIAN DDS SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIP 2020-2021

Eligibility

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be attending a College or University in the Fall of 2020
  • Must be a resident of the United States or Canada
  • Must complete the application form, including the essay prior to the deadline

How to Apply:

  • Write a 1–2 page essay on why you deserve the Dr. Arthur A. Kezian DDS Science Scholarship
  • Resume or CV
  • Official Transcript (GPA needs to be above 3.0)
  • SAT Score Report
  • DAT, GRE, or MCAT Score Report
  • 1 Minute Video Clip introducing yourself (optional but recommended)
  • Scholarship will open on: November 1, 2020
  • Scholarship deadline: March 31 , 2021 at 11:59 PM EST

Penguin CBD Scholarship

Eligibility

  • This scholarship is open to any student who is currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or professional program in the United States. This includes accredited community college students as well as high school seniors and students who possess a GED who have been accepted to or are enrolled in an accredited program.
  • The scholarship applicant must be interested in pursuing a healthcare major / career.
  • All eligible candidates must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 or above.

How to Apply:

  • Respond to the following questions in an essay of 1,000 words or less:
      • What inspired you to want to do work in the healthcare sector?

      • What health research are you most interested in learning about and why?

      • What inequalities exist in healthcare & medicine exist how would you improve it?

Budapest Dental Clinic Scholarship Program

Eligibility:

  • Be enrolled at a U.S.  Dental School/College as a full-time student at the time of submission
  • Must be a high school, trade school, college or university student majoring in medical or dental
  • Minimum GPA should be 3.0
  • All applicants must be a citizen of the United States

How to Apply:

  • In order to participate in this scholarship, an applicant must submit an essay between 400 to 500 words on any topic related to Dental/Medical.The 2 applicant who submits the best quality essay will win and receive this scholarship award.

    • All applicants should provide their Full Name, Contact Number, and School/College ID card so that we can confirm their identity and school/college enrollment.
    • All applicants must take note that there will be no permission to make addition in your information submitted once the first application has been submitted.

AISES A.T. Anderson Scholarship (2020-2021)

Eligibility:

  • Any STEM related degree such as Mathematics, Medical Sciences, Physical Science, Technology, Science, Engineering, or Natural Resources.
  • Students must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students at an accredited two-year or four-year college/university for the 2020-2021 academic year.
  • Applicants must be: an enrolled citizen or a decedent of an enrolled citizen of a federal or state recognized American Indian Tribe or Alaska Native Village; or Native Hawaiian or decedent from a Native Hawaiian; or Pacific Islander or decedent from Pacific Islander; or Indigenous person of Canada. Enrollment documents and/or a copy of birth certificate(s) showing descendancy from an enrolled citizen, Indigenous group of Canada, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander are acceptable. Applicant may also, instead, provide a copy of their Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood or Certificate of Degree of Alaska Native Blood (CDIB) card.

How to Apply:

  • Essays: Students are required to submit 3 essays, up to 500 words each.  These essays are an important part of the scholarship review process.
    • Essay Prompt 1: Please share a personal statement highlighting your background, academic achievements, and interests. Include information on courses taken and any honors or advanced placement courses. Talk about what motivates and challenges you intellectually and what impact you hope to have in your community and/or profession.
    • Essay Prompt 2: What stimulated your interest in your chosen major or area of study?
    • Essay Prompt 3:  What activity or activities (cultural, community-related, occupational, academic, athletic, etc.) most clearly reflect your character?  Please describe your participation. Why is participation in this activity or these activities important to you?

BOSTER SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must provide proof that they have been accepted into a research position in biology or medical-related lab on a full-time or substantial part-time basis (minimum 9 credit hours worth of research work for the next two semesters).
  • Must obtain and submit a letter of recommendation – either from a teacher/ tutor/ or lecturer who knows the student well or from an employer in a relevant healthcare services niche (must be signed and on letterhead to be accepted).
  • Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.40 on a 4.0 scale.

How to Apply:

Certain additional materials are required for your application to be considered.

  • A response (at least 500 words) to this essay question: Explain your reason(s) for applying for a scholarship and why you feel you should receive one, and the type of career in the healthcare or biomedical related industry you plan to pursue and your future goals.
  • You may upload the following items when completing your online application:
  • A copy of your current college or high school transcript. If you are a graduating senior, your transcript must include grades for your senior year. Unofficial copies are acceptable; report cards are not.
  • You must also include a letter of acceptance from the healthcare or biomedical related post-secondary program you will attend.
  • Optionally you can submit an abstract of your research. Those with meritorious research subjects and are currently engaging in research will be considered first.
