Islamic Scholarship Fund

Eligibility:

• Student must be Muslim or active member of the Muslim community;
• Enrollment at an accredited university in the U.S. by August 2020;
• Majoring in an ISF Supported Field;
• Maintaining a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average;
• Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.;
• Undergraduate (incoming junior or senior) or graduate/PhD

Eligibility

The LAGRANT Foundation

Eligibility

  • Must be a full-time student at a four-year, accredited institution within the U.S., carrying a total of 12 units or more per semester/quarter
  • MUST major in advertising, marketing or public relations
  • Must be an undergraduate (current freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and non-graduating seniors ONLY) and graduate students
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident or be an AB-540 student/DACA recipient
  • Must be a member of one of the following ethnic groups: African American/Black, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, or Native American/Alaska Native.
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA for undergraduate, 3.2 for graduate students
  • Must have at least one year to complete his/her degree for undergraduate, minimum of two academic semesters or one year for graduate students from the time the scholarships are awarded
  • Recipients who attend a college/university EAST of Chicago must be available Saturday, May 19, 2018 through Tuesday May 22, 2018. Recipients who attend a college/university WEST of Chicago must be available Saturday, June 2, 2018 through Tuesday, June 5, 2018. If chosen, the applicant MUST attend TLF’s scholarship activities to receive the scholarship. The applicant must make a one-year commitment to maintain contact with TLF to receive professional guidance and academic support.

How to Apply

  • Complete the application form found online
  • Submit one reference letter from a college professor or internship advisor on official letterhead and signed
  • Submit your current resume
  • Submit unofficial transcripts from your college/university. If you are selected as a finalist, you must provide official transcripts.
  • Submit a headshot photo of applicant
  • Complete the essay questions:
    • A one- to two-page essay outlining your career goals and where you see your career path leading you. In addition, explain why you believe it’s important to increase the number of ethnic minorities in the fields of advertising, marketing, and public relations. You can include accomplishments relevant to increasing awareness about diversity in your community.
    • Submit a brief paragraph explaining college and/or community activities in which you are involved in
    • Submit a brief paragraph describing any honors and awards that you have received
    • *Optional: If you do not think your GPA accurately reflects your scholastic capability and achievement, then draft an essay no longer than one-page explaining the discrepancy

100 scholarships will be awarded in 2018. Of the 100, 60 ethnic minority undergraduate students will receive scholarships of $2,000 each, and 40 graduate students will receive scholarships of $3,500 each.

What Photography Gear Annual Marketing Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Must be currently enrolled in, or accepted for full time admission in University, College, or Trade school, located anywhere in the world, with a major or minor in Marketing, International Business, Advertising, Business management, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Project management, Public relations etc.
  • University/college students who are majoring in other majors but have huge passion on marketing and decide to seek a career in the business filed after graduation.

  • Option 1: Make a video (Recommended)
    • Create a video lasting no less than 3 minutes discussing ANY topic, BUT must be 100% original and creative
  • Option 2: Write an essay on the topic: “Integrated Marketing Communications”
    • Must be no less than 1,000 words

Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation Scholarship

Eligibility

All Scholarship applicants must be:

  • Who are matriculating full-time in their undergraduate sophomore, junior, senior or first year of graduate school
  • A minimum G.P.A. of 2.75
  • Applicants are required to be enrolled in one of the following majors in order to be eligible: Communication Studies, Marketing, Public Relations, Media Studies or Journalism.

In addition, applicants must meet each of the following criteria to maintain eligibility:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent legal resident of the United States.
  • Full-time enrollment required at a four-year accredited university.
  • Must be a Public Relations, Communication, Media Studies, Marketing or Journalism major with a desire to work in the entertainment or sports industry.
  • Must be able to demonstrate financial need and provide proper documentation upon request.
  • Must be a female residing in the United States.

Vivint Smart Home Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Open to high school seniors or college students who are legal residents of the United States
  • Student must enroll in semester beginning no later than September 10, 2019
  • Home-schooled students may apply so long as your course of study is equivalent to a high school senior
  • Student must be planning on or already enrolled in one of the eligible majors listed in the Scholarship Official Rules

Eligibility

  • Must be entering his or her senior year in college in Fall 2019
  • Must be a major in public relations, journalism, or related fields
  • Must be studying to prepare for a career in public relations
  • Must be attending a four year accredited institution
  • Must be in good standing as a member of a PRSSA Chapter

    • Nomination letter made by someone other than the nominee who has first hand knowledge of the student’s mentoring capabilities and examples.
    • Up to two additional letters of support for the nominee may be provided.
    • Once identified, the nominator may involve the nominee to providing to providing information needed to complete the nomination.
    • A resume.
