American Society for Enology and Viticulture Traditional Scholarship

Eligibility

  •  Applicants must be current ASEV Student Members prior to applying for a scholarship.
  • Undergraduate and graduate students must be enrolled in or accepted into a full-time accredited four-year college or university in a degree program such as for a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral (thesis or professional). The applicant must reside in North America (Canada, Mexico, or USA) during the applicable academic year. Undergraduate applicants should have a minimum of junior status for the upcoming academic year (45 semester units/60 quarter units). Applicant is required to submit their acceptance letter from the academic institution.
  • Undergraduate students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0. Graduate students must have a minimum overall grade point average of 3.2. GPA’s calculated through the most recently completed semester or quarter will be used. Current quarter or semester pending grades are not applicable. Undergraduate and graduate student applicants will be rated on a separate basis.
  • Applicants must be accepted and/or enrolled in a major, or in a graduate group, emphasizing enology or viticulture, or in a curriculum emphasizing a science basic to the wine and grape industry.

How to Apply:

  • The following items are currently required in order to apply:
    • A written statement of intent as it relates to a future career in the wine or grape industry. Identify your interests in the wine or grape industry or in related research. Elaborate on how you became interested in and what efforts you have made to become familiar with the industry and/or research. Include details regarding your intent to work in the field of viticulture or enology extension if you wish to be considered for the James Wolpert Scholarship Award. Please limit this statement to one page.
    • Official transcripts or copies of official transcripts of ALL college or university courses you have completed to date. Student access versions are not acceptable.
    • A list of planned courses for the upcoming academic year, unless you are a graduate student who has completed the required classes for your program.
    • Your letter of acceptance from the academic institution if you are beginning a new degree program.
    • Two current letters of recommendation, written for this application period and directed to the ASEV Scholarship Committee. At least one letter should be from an academic advisor and/or a recent instructor (within the last year of your college or university education). Please be certain that you meet our overall GPA requirements before you request a letter of recommendation. These two letters of recommendation must be submitted by the student with the application packet. Each must be in a sealed, envelope with the writer’s signature across the sealed envelope flap or alternatively emailed directly from the person who signed and wrote the letter, to info@asev.org.

Paper Scholarship application

2020 Porch Skilled Trade & Technology Scholarships

Eligibility

  • You must be 18 years or over and currently be enrolled as a high school senior, or in a community college, undergraduate, graduate, technical college, or vocational program, or be planning to enroll in a high school, community college, undergraduate, graduate, technical college, or vocational program during the 2019-2020 academic program in the United States.
  • You must have a minimum 3.4 GPA.
  • You must be pursuing a degree that enables you or others in your community to learn a new trade, develop skills and technology, or start a small business related to home services offered by Porch.

HIV RNA Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Must be pursuing a degree in a field which promotes financial literacy such as Business, Law, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • Must be enrolled in a college or university located within the United States or its territories and accredited by the U.S. Department of Education (for a list of accredited institutions, see http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/Search.aspx) at the time of application and at the time the Scholarship is awarded.
  • Must be at least 17 years old at the time of application.
  • Must be a United States citizen and resident of the United States.
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA

How to Apply:

  • Write an essay on the topic “The Importance of HIV RNA Detection”
  • You must send your essay to us on or before 7th December 2020.
  • You can send your essay (in MS Word format only) by email to scholarship@hivrna.com
  • Don’t forget to mention your name, email, and phone number in your application.
  • You are also required to mention your college/university details in your application.
  • Only essay that will be unique and creative will be considered for the contest.
  • The winner will be contacted via e-mail and must respond within 5 days in order to accept the reward. If no response is received within that time frame, another winner will be selected to receive the award instead.

Fitness China Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Any student currently enrolled in any accredited college is eligible to enter.
  • Undergraduate and Graduate students welcome to apply
  • 3.0 GPA requirement

How to Apply:

  • You can easily apply for the scholarship. It is designed to be simple to qualify for and apply for. Only a limited number of students will be able to apply, and only one student will be able to win.
    1. Start by writing an essay of 500 words or more about “Home Fitness Equipment Is in High Demand as Gyms Remain Closed”. You can review one of the courses you have completed and use that to detail how it will help you improve your skill. The essay will need to be submitted by December 15th, 2020.
    2. You will need to send your application to scholarship@fitness-china.com and make sure it is in a Microsoft Word format. Use your academic (Edu) email address only. If you submit the application in a PDF or Google Doc, it will not be accepted.
    3. The submission form should include the following information: your name, phone number, the name of your university, and your email address.
    4. The essay should be written in your own words and should be of value to the reader.
    5. Any plagiarism will result in your submission begin immediately rejected.
    6. Only provide the information that has been detailed above.
    7. Your essay will be judged on its creativity, thoughtfulness, and value.
    8. On December 29th, 2020, the winner will be announced and notified by email

Kamper Estrada Helping Families Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Any student currently enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate or graduate program in the United States.
  • The scholarship candidate must be able to demonstrate their passion towards civil justice through volunteer, professional and/or educational experiences.
  • All eligible candidates must be in good academic standing, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above

How to Apply:

  • Respond to the following essay question in 1,000 words or less:
    • Describe a situation where you have helped a family in need. This can be your own family or one that you are not related to by blood or marriage. Explain your motivation behind helping this family and the steps you took to help them- and how their lives were improved by your efforts. Describe how your education has already helped you to help others and/or how your current education plans are going to help you continue to help others. Tell us how your education is informing your volunteer, activism, work and/or career goals.
  • An updated resume
  • A current unofficial transcript

ISPA Foundation Mary Tabacchi Scholarship

Eligibility:

The Desired Candidate shall be the following:

  • Will be a junior, senior or grad student in the upcoming school year, enrolled full-time in a bachelor’s or master’s program of a related discipline, i.e. business, health science, hospitality or spa management, and pursuing a spa management/spa leadership/spa entrepreneurial-related career. Please note, students applying for this scholarship must be enrolled in classes for the fall 2020 semester to be eligible.
  • Has completed or is enrolled in courses with a strong emphasis in business, management, analytics and/or entrepreneurship.
  • Has a minimum GPA (or international equivalent) of 3.0.
  • Has completed/is currently completing a spa-related internship/externship or has conducted/currently conducting a project, paper, research initiative, etc. that has a demonstrated focus on the spa industry and can provide details of the skills and experiences gained during said internship/externship or project/paper/research initiative in his/her resume.
  • Is involved in on/off-campus organizations and demonstrates leadership roles held in such organizations.
  • Agrees to be a mentor to the 2021 Mary Tabacchi scholarship recipient.
  • Submits the following required materials:
    a.    A completed scholarship application including detailed responses to Section 3 Essay Questions;
    b.    Original college transcripts that include evidence of courses taken and current GPA (or international equivalent);
    c.    Two reference letters;
    d.    A professional resume.

 

The 2020 ISPA Foundation Mary Tabacchi Scholarship Recipient Receives:

  • A $5,000 scholarship for tuition reimbursement.
  • Complimentary registration and travel expense stipend for the 2020 ISPA Conference & Expo in National Harbor, Maryland, October 14-16.
  • A one-year mentor from the ISPA Foundation Mary Tabacchi Scholarship Selection Committee.
  • A complimentary, one-year ISPA Student Membership.

Way Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Only graduating seniors in high school, freshmen, sophomores, under graduate in college between the ages of 16 and 25 are eligible to win.

National Business Capital & Services

Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolled or going to be enrolled in an accredited institution during the Fall 2020 school year.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be an undergraduate or graduate student.

How to Apply:

  • Answer one of this year’s prompts (which can be found below) by writing an 800+ word essay OR recording a 2-3 minute video response. Please do not submit both an essay and a video, as this will not increase your chances of being selected.
  • Whether you’re responding with a video or written essay, choose one of the following questions to respond to:
    • Option 1: What does it mean in business to be a leader, and not a boss?
    • Option 2: Explain why it’s important to support local businesses owners and how they positively impact the country.
    • Option 3: At National Business Capital & Services, our theme this year is “Execute Now”. It’s something we as a team live by each and every day. Describe a unique opportunity that you’ve experienced throughout your college career where you had to “Execute Now” in order to not miss out.
    • Option 4: How do you feel social media influences small business

The Annual Adley Law Firm College Student Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • You must be an aspiring or currently enrolled U.S. college or university student.
  • 18 years of age (parental consent required if under 18)

How to Apply:

  • We require you to write a 500-1,500 word blog article which will be featured on our blog. Pick from any of the following topics:

ABLE MOVING SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college or university and must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a business program.
  • Be in good academic standing and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

How to Apply:

  • An essay (maximum 1,000 words) addressing the following topic: 
    • “Share an experience with moving, whether it be to the next town, across the country, or internationally. What helped make the move easier? What challenges did you face?” 
  • An up-to-date resume
  • A current unofficial transcript from applicant’s college/university or high school
