Aaron Wersing Employment Discrimination Scholarship Contest

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be EITHER be out-going high school seniors (graduating summer 2023) OR students currently enrolled in a college, trade school, university, or law school as of the start of the fall 2023 semester.

There are many people who look back on their lives with regret, wishing they had chosen different paths when they were younger. Many people who make wrong choices early on haven’t given themselves enough time to truly explore what a satisfying career looks like for them. It’s extremely important for students to give plenty of thought to their future career. The Career Search Scholarship seeks to support a student who is educating themselves and exploring potential careers that align with their goals.

The Rehab Store Beyond Disability Scholarship

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a current high school senior or a college student living with a documented disability.
    • If the applicant is a high school student, then they should be planning to attend an undergraduate program in a 2 or 4 -year university/college or technical college in the Fall of the academic year following high-school graduation. The educational institution must be in the United States.
  • Enrollment status in school or college must be full-time or part-time.

To apply for the Rehab Store Beyond Disability Scholarship, email the following to rehabscholarship@hpfystores.com by April 30th.

  1. Personal information, including full name, date of birth, mailing address and phone number.
  2. Proof of enrollment which can be an enrollment certificate or transcript of your most recent GPA (GPA does not affect the selection.)
  3. Medical documentation to prove the disability.
  4. An essay of minimum 500 words that speaks to your personal trials and triumphs in life related to your disability and how it has defined the person you are today.
  5. Any supporting documents or letters of recommendations from teachers, mentors or advisers that you would like the selection committee to consider.

Inkas Rising Star Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Be currently enrolled or intending to enroll (i.e., as of January 2023) as a full-time student in Business or Engineering areas of study at an accredited university in Canada or U.S.; and to support the application with appropriate documentation, including but not limited to: school transcripts (unofficial), invitation or acceptance letter from the institution.
  • Maintain a minimum 75% average or equal GPA from the most recent term/semester
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, U.S. citizen or Green Card holder or student visa holder or study permit holder and be able to support it with a clear and legible photocopy.

Essay submission:

As the second part of the application process, all applicants must prepare an essay. The essay must be 750 words maximum length.  In addition to providing your personal story and an explanation as to why you deserve this scholarship, you are required to explain why you believe either business or engineering is important in Canada’s/U.S. economy and how you feel you will make a difference in your chosen industry.

ChemClub Student Scholarship Application

ELIGIBILITY

  • You must be a current high school senior, graduating in 2023 and planning to enroll full-time at an accredited college located in the United States, starting in Fall 2023.
  • You must be an active student member of a Chartered ChemClub Program (meaning that your Club is registered as an ACS ChemClub for the 2022-2023 school year.)
  • You must plan to pursue a major in a STEM field. This can include, chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, material science, food science, forensic science, etc.

  • Complete the online application below by March 31, 2023.
  • Your ChemClub teacher advisor must complete and submit a recommendation form. This form will be automatically generated and sent to your advisor during the application process. *Note that you will be asked for the name and email address of your ChemClub teacher advisor. It’s a good idea to notify your ChemClub advisor about your intent to apply for this scholarship before you complete the application, so that they expect an email from us with completion instructions. The deadline for teacher-advisors to complete the recommendation form is April 10, 2023.
  • An electronic copy of your high school transcript (official or unofficial) must be sent to us directly by your school (this could be from a guidance counselor or school administrator).  You can ask the appropriate school official to send it to HSChemClubs@acs.org or if your high school uses an online transcript service to send official transcripts, it can be sent to the same email address. This must be received by April 10, 2023.

WellBefore Scholarship Program

Eligibility

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be a legal resident of the United States/Canada or a holder of a valid student visa
  • Must be currently enrolled in or accepted to a full-time undergraduate program in an accredited US university or college

  1. Write an essay with a minimum of 300 words on one of the following topics:
    • The Prevalence of Incontinence in Adults
    • The Creation of Disposable Gloves and Their Impact on Hygiene
    • The Importance of Sanitization and Disinfection in the Workplace

Smart Saving Scholarship

Eligibility

  • The scholarship is open to any current high school senior, vocational student, college student, or graduate student who is a legal resident of the United States residing in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia and who is an active high school, college, vocational, and/or graduate student for the 2023 Fall semester.
  • Gillman Bruton Capone Law Group employees, their immediate families (parent, child, sibling, and spouse), and persons living in the same households as such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate in the competition.
  • Candidates for this scholarship should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in good overall academic standing.

  • The candidate must submit a 750-1000 word essay response to the prompt: Share where or how you learned the importance of saving and budgeting and how you implemented these practices into your daily life. Why do you think these practices are essential, and how could they be more accessible?
  • The candidate must submit a professional resumé that lists their professional and academic experience.
  • The candidate must submit a transcript from their current school. First-year college students, graduate students, or individuals who have recently transferred schools may submit an unofficial transcript from their current school and the most recent official transcript from their prior school. High school students must also submit proof of acceptance to their college or university.

Lowenthal & Abrams’ Hospital Safety Awareness Scholarship

Eligibility

  • The scholarship is open to any current high school senior, college student, or graduate student who is a legal resident of the United States residing in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia and who is enrolled in a two to a five-year post-secondary institution for the Fall 2022 semester.
  • Employees of Lowenthal & Abrams, Injury Attorneys, their immediate families (parent, child, sibling, and spouse), and persons living in the same households as such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate in the competition.
  • Candidates for this scholarship should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and good overall academic standing.

  • The candidate must submit a 500-1,000 word essay response to the prompt: What laws would you create to help make hospitals safer?
  • The candidate must submit a professional resumé that lists their experience, both professional and academic.
  • The candidate must submit a transcript from their current school. First-year college students, graduate students, or individuals who have recently transferred schools may submit an unofficial transcript from their current school, as well as the most recent official transcript from their prior school. High school students must also submit proof of acceptance to their college or university.

We will choose the Lowenthal & Abrams Hospital Safety Awareness Scholarship recipient during the month following the scholarship deadline.

Done with Distracted Driving Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Employees of Ostroff Injury Law, their immediate families (parent, child, sibling, and spouse), and persons living in the same households as such individuals (whether related or not), are not eligible to participate in the competition
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in or about to attend an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program within the United States
  • Applicants must have a current GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Your contact information, with name, age, current grade, cell number and email address
  • A current academic transcript (clearly showing your cumulative GPA)
  • A 750 – 1,000 word essay discussing ways in which we can put a stop to distracted driving and how we can encourage drivers to make smarter decisions

Franchise.Law Entrepreneur Scholarship

Eligibility

  • The scholarship is open to any student currently enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program in the United States. This includes incoming first-year college students who are either high school graduates or in possession of a GED.
  • All applicants must be in good academic standing, maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

  • A resume that includes up-to-date contact information, relevant education, professional and volunteer experience.
  • A 750-1000 word essay on why you are passionate about becoming an entrepreneur. Share details of what business you would create, how you would run it, and how you would stay on top of trends in the industry.
  • A current unofficial transcript from the applicant’s school. First-year college students may submit an unofficial transcript from their most recent school, as well as an unofficial transcript from their current post-secondary institution.

Please note that applicants located in and around North Carolina may receive higher consideration when selecting a winner. The winner of the Franchise.Law Entrepreneur Scholarship will be announced in July of 2023.
