WALKIN’ PETS VETERINARIAN & REHAB/VET TECH SCHOLARSHIP

Must be a doctoral student entering or currently enrolled in veterinary school in 2022.
Scholarship applicants must be enrolled full-time in an accredited veterinary school to be eligible for the Veterinarian Scholarship.

Please discuss the following set of questions in 1,000 words or less:

How have end of life/humane disposition issues been evolving for pets over the past 25 years? What societal factors have influenced how end of life issues for pets have evolved?\
What veterinary care and pet product advances have been an influence?
How does the high quality of medicine that we can now offer to aging or disabled pets compare to what was available 10 years ago?
How have alternatives, such as assistive devices and/or wheelchairs, played a role in the changing landscape of veterinary care?
What do you think the most important factors are today in consideration of euthanizing a pet?
How do you balance the needs of the pet caretaker and the patient?
What do you anticipate will be your greatest challenges and assets in helping pet caretakers to make end-of-life decisions?
