The Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA) Application
If you are an undocumented student who qualifies as a Washington resident, you may fill out a WASFA application to be considered for the Washington College Grant and other state and institutional sources. Federal aid like the Pell grant and student loans are not available through the WASFA.
If you qualify for and have filed a FAFSA, you cannot also file a WASFA.
File Your WASFA
File your WASFA by the priority date of January 31 (new and current students) to maximize your aid options!
If this is your first WASFA, you will need to create an account through the Washington Student Achievement Council’s website, wsac.wa.gov. This site is where you will file your WASFA every year.
See the following websites for helpful information about filing your WASFA and attending WSU as an undocumented student:
Once you have filled a WASFA, the following year’s application is much simpler. You will need to log in to your account and update your existing WASFA information for the upcoming academic year.
You must file a new WASFA every year to continue receiving financial aid!
You may be selected to provide additional documents to verify the information on your WASFA. Please check your myWSU account and university email frequently to see if you have been selected for verification. If you do not submit the additional documents requested, your WASFA will not be processed and you will not receive aid.
