Eligibility

    • As the elderly population continues to grow, so does the importance of ensuring the safety of those in elder care. If you had the authority, how would you make changes in the elder care industry to improve the quality of care for those in need?

$1,000 Nurses Educational Scholarship by Indeed

Eligibility

  • Any student seeking a career in nursing.
  • Students include those who will be attending nursing school within the next 12 months, those currently enrolled in a nursing program, and those who graduated from a nursing program in the past 12 months.
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Currently attending high school (or equivalent) and will be attending an accredited university or college in the next academic year, OR;
  • Currently attending an accredited university or college (undergraduate and graduate students are both eligible).

A Place for Mom’s Senior Wisdom Video Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Must be enrolled in a certificate, associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or graduate level program in a medical, nursing, or social sciences major. The student must be planning on pursuing a career that involves working with senior citizens. The applicant must be attending classes at an accredited college or university at the time of application.
  • Must be a citizen or a Permanent Resident of the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec).
  • Must be at least 18 years or older.

How to Apply

  • Create a video (between 2 and 3 minutes) that captures the theme of “The Value of Seniors in Our Lives and Benefits to Society.”
    • The video should share a story or host an interview with a senior who has inspired you. As part of the video presentation, share how a senior or a group of seniors has inspired you and how these types of connections or relationships provide a long-term benefit for our society. Outlined below are some questions you can consider as part of your video submission:
      • How has your relationship with this senior changed your outlook on life?
      • What have you learned from this senior that will enable you to be a better caregiver in the future?
      • What lessons can we as a society learn about the value of having strong relationships with seniors?

Laser Spine Institute Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Prove full-time enrollment during the spring and/or summer semester with a school transcript no older than January 1.
  • Intend to continue a full-time enrollment status in the fall semester. Proof of enrollment or acceptance to new school must be provided.
  • Currently have a minimum 3.5 GPA at a university or college.
  • Be seeking a degree in a health- or science-based program, with an interest in pursuing a career in health care.
  • Have an active .edu email address for the university or college they attend.

The CareerCrawlers MERIT Scholarship Program 2017-2018

Eligibility

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 either enrolled or planning to be enrolled in an accredited university or college in Fall 2017 or Spring 2018.
  • You must be at least 18 years old (at the time of disbursement)
  • Must be a Canadian or US citizen
  • Must be enrolled in an academic program in either healthcare or engineering related field

Eligibility

  • Be studying in the USA and at least 18 years of age
  • Be a holder of a minimum GPA of 2.8
  • Be currently enrolled in an institution that offers a major in education or healthcare related field

  • Write a 500-750 word essay that describes your career ambitions and why they are currently studying or why the need to pursue an education or healthcare degree.

Pacific Medical Training Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Any undergraduate or graduate college student currently enrolled in a “healthcare degree” program may apply
    • This includes, but is not limited to, degree programs and courseware supporting the following professions: Athletic Trainer, Cardiac Sonographer, Cardiovascular Technologist, Dental Assistant, Dentist, Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Electrocardiographic Technician, Emergency Medical Technician, Exercise Scientist/Specialist, Mammographer, Medical Assistant, Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Nurse Anesthetists, Nurse Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Nursing Assistant, Paramedic, Pharmacist, Phlebotomist, Physical Therapist, Physician Assistant, Physician, Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapist
  • Pre-professional programs such as pre-nursing and pre-medicine students are qualified as well. Students begin their coursework but ultimately transfer to another institution to complete their degree.
  • Employees and Pacific Medical Training, and their family members, are not eligible to participate in this program.
  • All entries become the sole property of Pacific Medical Training.
  • Proof of enrollment in a qualifying degree program may be required for eligibility.
  • Payment will be made as a stipend in September 2017 to the winner, funds are unrestricted.

  • Your submission will be a 750 to 1,000 word essay discussing emergency medical care from the perspective of a medical student. Basic life support is a critical skill for all healthcare providers and advanced and pediatric life support are also practiced by certain nurses and physicians depending on where they are working.

  • Student must be actively enrolled in a College or University studying one of the following: medicine, therapy, emergency medical services, laboratory sciencem edical technology, nursing, health care, pathology, radiology, diagnostic imaging, pharmacy, psychiatry, psychology, social sciences, or another health related area

    • How medical supplies or medical equipment has the biggest impact on healing, improving, or extending human lives.
