Homelight Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Any legal U.S. resident in high school or college who will be attending an accredited university or college in Fall 2020 is eligible to apply.

How to Apply:

  • To apply, please submit a short piece of writing, that includes the following:
    • Why are you interested in real estate?
    • How will your career help more people find their dream home?
    • What impact have you had on homes or homelessness in your community?

A Place for Mom’s Senior Wisdom Video Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Must be enrolled in a certificate, associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or graduate level program in a medical, nursing, or social sciences major. The student must be planning on pursuing a career that involves working with senior citizens. The applicant must be attending classes at an accredited college or university at the time of application.
  • Must be a citizen or a Permanent Resident of the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec).
  • Must be at least 18 years or older.

How to Apply

  • Create a video (between 2 and 3 minutes) that captures the theme of “The Value of Seniors in Our Lives and Benefits to Society.”
    • The video should share a story or host an interview with a senior who has inspired you. As part of the video presentation, share how a senior or a group of seniors has inspired you and how these types of connections or relationships provide a long-term benefit for our society. Outlined below are some questions you can consider as part of your video submission:
      • How has your relationship with this senior changed your outlook on life?
      • What have you learned from this senior that will enable you to be a better caregiver in the future?
      • What lessons can we as a society learn about the value of having strong relationships with seniors?
  • Complete the online application.

Child Welfare and Development (CWD) Scholarship for Students Pursuing a Degree in Social Work 2018-2019

Eligibility

  • Currently enrolled in good standing in an accredited sociology, psychology or social sciences undergraduate program in the United States
  • Current overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Demonstrated history of working with or on-behalf of children who have experienced neglect or abuse (through advocacy, community involvement, volunteerism or research efforts)
  • Demonstrated financial need

    • How you intend to use this award
  • Finally, please include any pictures you have that might demonstrate your extracurricular efforts.

Women in STEM Excel Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Student must be a female Washington resident
  • Student must be pursuing a degree/career path in a STEM-related field* at an institution of higher learning

USA Medical and Surgical Supplies Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Student must be actively enrolled in a College or University studying one of the following: medicine, therapy, emergency medical services, laboratory sciencem edical technology, nursing, health care, pathology, radiology, diagnostic imaging, pharmacy, psychiatry, psychology, social sciences, or another health related area
  • All applicants must submit an official transcript or Certification of Enrollment that validates current enrollment
  • Must have a valid email address

How to Apply

  • Submit an essay (1200+ words) on the following topic:
    • How medical supplies or medical equipment has the biggest impact on healing, improving, or extending human lives. The topics could range from how specific equipment helps provide better diagnostics, or modern infection control allows reuse of important medical instruments, or how enteral feeding pumps provide accurate, reliable nutrition to humans of all ages.

Woodrow Wilson Dissertation Fellowships in Women’s Studies

Eligibility:

  • Must have completed all pre-dissertation requirements
  • Must be writing on issues related to women, gender, women’s studies, or feminist/gender/LGBTQ theory
  • Must be enrolled in a graduate school in the U.S
  • Must be majoring in the humanities or social sciences
  • Must be expecting to complete the Ph.D. by summer 2019
