Scholarships for Washington Residents

University Achievement Award

$2,000 or $4,000

Two years

Eligibility:

  • Automatically awarded to students with minimum 3.4 high school GPA and qualifying SAT or ACT test score

Renewal

Renewable for one additional year. Maximum eligibility of four semesters in total.

  • Maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Maintain 12 credits per semester
  • Complete 24 graded semester credits by the end of each spring semester
  • Maintain resident status and undergraduate, non-professional degree status
  • Enrollment on the Pullman campus

Crimson Transfer Award

$2,000

Two years

Eligibility:

  • Apply for admission by January 31
  • Transfer with at least 27 semester or 40 quarter credits at time of application
  • Have a minimum transfer GPA of 3.2
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Attend WSU Pullman

Four years

High schools in Washington are invited to nominate two of their top students for this scholarship program. All nominees who complete the application process are eligible for the $4,000 Regents Scholar award. The top nominees (usually 10 recipients) are competitively selected for the Distinguished Regents Scholar award.

Experience WSU

$1,000

One-time award (non-renewable)

Experience WSU is both a scholarship program and a campus visitation event.

Eligibility:

  • Apply for admission by January 31 and accept admission offer
  • Attend the entire visit event
  • Each student can receive only one campus visit award.
  • Distinguished Regents and National Merit awardees are not eligible for this award.

Future Cougars Embracing Diversity

$1,000

One-time award (non-renewable)

Future Cougars Embracing Diversity (formerly Future Cougars of Color) is both a campus visitation event and a scholarship program.

Eligibility:

  • Apply for admission and scholarships by January 31
  • Accept admission offer to Pullman campus
  • Attend the entire event
    (space may be limited, and registration is first-come first-served)
  • Each student can receive only one visit award

All-Washington Academic Team

$2,000

One-time award (non-renewable)

Each year, WSU will award scholarships to 10 All-Washington Academic Team members who transfer to any of the university’s campuses.  If more than 10 team members enroll to WSU, the university will determine who receives the scholarships.
