This webpage will assist you as you navigate through your finances at WSU. Please review the information below to learn more about the timeline for charges, financial aid, housing and dining, and important reminders.

Fall 2018 Semester

Charges Begin Posting

Mid-July

Registered students will begin seeing charges posted for:

  • Tuition
  • Mandatory Fees
  • Room & Board
    • Applies to Residence Halls and University Owned Apartments.
    • Room & Board Charges will be automatically placed in a payment plan, please click here for more information.

Financial Aid Begins Posting

August 13

Grants, scholarships, waivers and accepted loans will begin disbursing. If you accepted loans, make sure to:

  • Complete Entrance Counseling
  • Sign Master Promissory Note

Refunds Begin Sending

August 14

Once financial aid has paid off your due charges, any remaining aid will be sent to you as a refund. Check your address for a check in the mail. Keep in mind, not every student will get a refund. For the fastest way to receive a refund, enroll in Direct Deposit.

Charges Due

August 20

Charges are due the first day of classes.

The following late fees will be assessed if charges are not paid on time.

  • 3% Late Fee: September 4, 2018
  • 5% Late Fee: September 18, 2018
  • 7% Late Fee: October 3, 2018

Financial Aid Census

August 31

On this day, WSU will take a “snapshot” of your enrollment for the semester. This snapshot determines what financial aid (loans and grants) you will receive for the term.

Finalize your class schedule before Census!

Apply for 2019-20 FAFSA/WASFA

October 1

FAFSA and WASFA applications open for the 2019-2020 school year. The priority deadline for current students is: November 30, 2018

Charges Due

Submit Additional Verification Documents

February 15

This date is WSU’s priority deadline for students that have been selected for the Financial Aid Verification process. To remain eligible for all federal, state and institutional grants, students must submit all the additional information that has been requested by this date.
