Eligibility

To be eligible for Sport Light Supply Healthy Lifestyle & Light Pollution Scholarship, the students must be –

  • Actively enrolled in universities or college.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • International or exchange students are welcome to apply for this scholarship
  • Full-time or part-time students are eligible

6. LED sports lighting issues: are there any disadvantages?

7. What is glare? How does lighting affect athletes’ performance and spectator experience? How to solve?

Washington Thoroughbred Foundation Race for Education Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Washington State Resident OR students attending a Washington school from any background.
  • Pursuing a career in pre-veterinary medicine (equine practice only), equine science, racetrack management, equine business management, or pasture management as it pertains to horse farms, equine, or racetrack marketing and/or communications and other related fields.
  • 2.85 cumulative GPA minimum.
  • Annual household income of less than $75,000 OR be financially independent. To be considered financially independent, a student must be at least 23 years old OR married OR a veteran OR an orphan OR have dependents of his or her own. Applicants who have been legally emancipated must provide documentation indicating such.

How to Apply

  • Write an essay (500 words or less) on one of the following topics:
    • What do you consider to be the single most important societal problem? Why?
    • Pick a controversial problem on college campuses and suggest a solution.
    • Describe how you have demonstrated leadership ability both in and out of school.
    • Describe your most meaningful achievement(s) and how it relates to your future goals.
  • Submit two letters of recommendation (must be signed but not in sealed envelope).
  • Current, official transcript (seal can be broken).
  • Student Aid Report (From FAFSA).
  • If you have not received your Student Aid Report, you must submit either your parent/guardian’s previous year’s tax return and current year’s W2 form OR the current year’s tax return (additional years may be requested).
  • Financial aid award letter(s) (including other scholarship awards).
  • Complete online application.

The Justice Solutions Group “Future Mentors” Scholarship

Eligibility

  • All applicants must be enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time student at an accredited college or university for the semester they are applying receive the scholarship.
  • Applicants are not required to have a minimum GPA.
  • Domestic, international, and undocumented students may apply.
  • Students attending online universities are welcome to apply.

How to Apply

  • Submit an essay between 800 and 1500 words on mentorship. Please respond to these questions in your essay.
    • How do you believe mentorship can benefit future generations?
    • Have you ever had a mentor or acted as a mentee? How did that change you life.
    • Feel free to include Big Brother or Big Sister programs, influential teachers or role-models, and any other relationships that have enriched your life.
  • Submit proof of enrollment or an acceptance letter in an accredited university.
  • Complete the online application.
