STEM Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Citizen or a permanent United States resident
  • At least 18 years old at the date of entry
  • At the date of the award, you must be enrolled (or accepted with plans to attend) a college or university in the United States listed here
  • Minimum GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
  • Field of study is related to science, technology, engineering, math (STEM)

How to Apply:

  • To apply for this scholarship, first create a Course Hero account, then write a 500-word essay answering the following question:
    • ‘Smart city technology can be almost invisible to their residents, and many people may not be aware of how technology is boosting safety, livability and more in these cities. What’s one current or coming technology that is changing or will change how cities work?’

DR. ARTHUR A. KEZIAN DDS SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIP 2020-2021

Eligibility

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be attending a College or University in the Fall of 2020
  • Must be a resident of the United States or Canada
  • Must complete the application form, including the essay prior to the deadline

How to Apply:

  • Write a 1–2 page essay on why you deserve the Dr. Arthur A. Kezian DDS Science Scholarship
  • Resume or CV
  • Official Transcript (GPA needs to be above 3.0)
  • SAT Score Report
  • DAT, GRE, or MCAT Score Report
  • 1 Minute Video Clip introducing yourself (optional but recommended)
  • Scholarship will open on: November 1, 2020
  • Scholarship deadline: March 31 , 2021 at 11:59 PM EST

AISES A.T. Anderson Scholarship (2020-2021)

Eligibility:

  • Any STEM related degree such as Mathematics, Medical Sciences, Physical Science, Technology, Science, Engineering, or Natural Resources.
  • Students must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students at an accredited two-year or four-year college/university for the 2020-2021 academic year.
  • Applicants must be: an enrolled citizen or a decedent of an enrolled citizen of a federal or state recognized American Indian Tribe or Alaska Native Village; or Native Hawaiian or decedent from a Native Hawaiian; or Pacific Islander or decedent from Pacific Islander; or Indigenous person of Canada. Enrollment documents and/or a copy of birth certificate(s) showing descendancy from an enrolled citizen, Indigenous group of Canada, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander are acceptable. Applicant may also, instead, provide a copy of their Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood or Certificate of Degree of Alaska Native Blood (CDIB) card.

How to Apply:

  • Essays: Students are required to submit 3 essays, up to 500 words each.  These essays are an important part of the scholarship review process.
    • Essay Prompt 1: Please share a personal statement highlighting your background, academic achievements, and interests. Include information on courses taken and any honors or advanced placement courses. Talk about what motivates and challenges you intellectually and what impact you hope to have in your community and/or profession.
    • Essay Prompt 2: What stimulated your interest in your chosen major or area of study?
    • Essay Prompt 3:  What activity or activities (cultural, community-related, occupational, academic, athletic, etc.) most clearly reflect your character?  Please describe your participation. Why is participation in this activity or these activities important to you?

Rise Marketing STEM Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Must be an undergraduate or postgraduate student at an accredited University.
  • Must be majoring in a STEM field.

How to Apply:

  • Student must write a short essay about themselves.
  • Additionally the student must complete the online application found on the scholarships website.

 

Mike and Jean Dragnich Endowment Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Must complete the WSU General Scholarship Application by January 31 prior to the start of the academic year. There is no additional application process.
  • Graduates of Republic High School, Republic, WA.
  • Recipient shall be chosen based on scholarship and need with a preference given to those majoring in engineering and/or physical sciences.
  • If no such student in Engineering and/or physical sciences, any graduate of Republic High School may be awarded.
  • If no graduates of Republic High School are identified, the scholarship may be awarded to graduates from Ferry County.
  • The recipients of the scholarship will be encouraged to ultimately repay the monies to the fund, thus providing additional growth. There will be no legal obligation for recipients to repay funds. Repayments will be made to the Washington state University Foundation to be credited to this fund.

RevPart STEM Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Any student majoring in a STEM field that is attending an accredited college may apply
  • Must be pursuing a career in one of the following, Science, Technology, Engineering or Math

Ameri Care Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Open to all full-time college students currently enrolled in an accredited public or private college or university.
  • Applicant must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • All bachelor and master’s degrees with majors and minors in Science are eligible such as Environmental Science, Environmental Policy and Management, Horticulture, or Environmental Studies.
  • Other science programs not listed will be considered and reviewed by our selection committee.
  • Applicant must be able to provide an official letter of acceptance or an unofficial college transcript to prove current full-time enrollment.

  • Submit an essay (no more than 500 words) on the following topic:
    • Explain how our scholarship and your current degree program will help you become successful and what that success will mean for you and/or your career goals.

Society of Exploration Geophysics Foundation

Eligibility

  • Must be a high school senior planning to attend college next year or an undergraduate or graduate college student
  • Must have above average grades
  • Must be intending to pursue a college curriculum directed toward a career in applied geophysics
