SAE International Undergraduate Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be a U.S. Resident
  • Open to all undergraduate applicants—freshman through senior pursuing a STEM degree through an ABET accredited program
  • 3.0 high school GPA (for incoming freshmen) or a 3.0 cumulative college GPA (for upperclassmen) is required.
  • This is a need based scholarship – FAFSA Form is required and applicant must have an EFC# of $5,500 or below
  • Provide two (2) Letters of Recommendation – one (1) that focuses on academics and one (1) that outlines involvement in extra-curricular activities or employment
  • Applicant must be able to outline their most creative STEM idea/project completed AND detail their strongest leadership qualities

  • Recipient will be selected by the SAE Scholarship Committee and notified by the end of June.
  • This scholarship will be paid into your account at your selected university in July/August.
  • It can be used for tuition or any other incidental school expenses.

RMA Foundation Scholarships

Eligibility

  • Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada.
  • Be a current college student enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States or Canada and will continue to be enrolled full time for the entire 2023-2024 academic year.
  • Intends to work in the banking industry following graduation.
  • Maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale overall (or equivalent).
  • Applicants do not have to be a current RMA member, but they must join (free) and remain a member to receive and renew their scholarship.

More Details

Scholarship recipients are selected based on merit with the following factors:

  • Demonstrated interest in the banking industry; (Examples: previous employment in a bank; RMA membership; involvement in local RMA chapter; academic studies; internships).
  • Academic achievement.
  • Participation and leadership in community and school activities, or related work experience.
  • Statement of career goals and objectives.

Financial need will not be considered.

Greenberg and Ruby Winter APC Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Student must be a US citizen or a permanent resident;
  • Student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher;
  • Student must demonstrate involvement in community activities;
  • Candidates should follow us on social media to stay updated regarding the winner.

More Details

  • Students must submit an essay between 600-800 words and/or a 1-2 minute video describing their aspirations of going to colleges as well as themselves. Creative presentations and graphics are welcomed. Students should explain why they seek a higher education, what obstacles they’ve faced, as well as the lessons they have learned from those experiences. They must also describe any community involvement and/or their intentions for the same after they graduate.
  • Students must send an unofficial copy of their high school and/or college transcripts.

NIADA Foundation Scholarship

Eligibility

  1. Be classified as a high school senior during the current 2022-2023 school year and legally reside in one of the 4 regions indicated.
  2. Have maintained an outstanding academic achievement record as reflected by an official high school transcript.
  3. A desire to work in the automotive industry.

More Details

Four regional scholarships are awarded each year. The regions and states are as indicated below.

REGION I: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan.

REGION II: Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Alabama.

REGION III: North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.

REGION IV: Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Alaska, and Hawaii.

The Foundation invites you as an eligible student to complete this application in pursuit of scholarship funds to be paid to the college of your choice in Fall 2023. Applications must be POSTMARKED no later than March 12, 2023, AND received no later than March 26, 2023.

Connex Foundation Scholarships

Eligibility

  • Be a United States or Canadian citizen or permanent legal resident
  • At a minimum, a graduating high school senior or equivalent (GED)
  • Plan to enroll as a full-time student
  • Have a cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • Have a history of active involvement in extra-curricular activities, community service, or work experience

The purpose of the Connex Foundation Scholarship is to assist individuals who are exploring the study of skilled trades or multi-site facility management with the end goal of advancing their career in this field. The scholarship serves to promote the multi-site facilities industry by attracting high school, college-level, career transitioning, adult re-entry, and veteran students into the field of study and encouraging their pursuit with financial support.

The Connex Foundation will award scholarships up to $5,000 each in 2023 to individuals pursuing a career in the skilled trades (example: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry), construction and/or facility management industry. The scholarships will be awarded to deserving Canadian individuals and deserving U.S. individuals.
The deadline to submit an application for consideration is March 12, 2023.

Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund

Eligibility

  • An entering or returning student at an accredited undergraduate institution in the United States and must be enrolled full-time (at least 12 hours).
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (BA, BS, BFA, BSN for example) for the first time. Students in one-year or two-year certificate or associate’s degree programs do not qualify. Students in five-plus year programs ending in a master’s degree or beyond may apply for the first four (undergraduate) years of their programs.
  • A United States citizen or noncitizen who has a current lawful presence in the United States and employment authorization.
  • A permanent resident of a New England state: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Vermont.
  • An EFC (Expected Family Contribution) from the FAFSA Student Aid Report that is $10,000 or less (contact staff@spscholars.org if your EFC is greater than $10,000 but you believe there are extenuating financial circumstances)
  • Financial unmet need of $7,000 or more at the college of their choice as determined by the Financial Eligibility Calculator
  • A low to moderate parent Adjusted Gross Income (AGI)

The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund offers renewable, four-year scholarships to students with financial need who display academic achievement, a commitment to serving others (in school, their community, or at home), a strong work ethic, and leadership qualities.

Truck Accident Awareness Scholarship

Eligibility

  • 3.0 or higher GPA (unofficial transcript must accompany the application)
  • Admitted to or enrolled in an accredited college/university or graduate school
  • Be a United States citizen or otherwise authorized to work or attend school in the United States
  • Write and submit a 1,000- to 1,500-word original essay on the proposed topic (see below)

Scholarship Essay Topic

Write an original public safety announcement (between 1,000 to 1,500 words) that a) raises awareness of the current climate concerning commercial truck accidents and b) proposes a creative way to increase road safety here in Ohio and throughout our nation.

Once your essay is complete:

  1. Fill out the application form
  2. Upload a copy of your unofficial transcript
  3. Upload a copy of your scholarship essay
  4. Submit proof of enrollment/acceptance to an accredited college/ university/ graduate school (Student ID; Letter of acceptance; etc.)

National Federation of the Blind Scholarship Program

Eligibility

The following requirements apply to all applicants:

  • Must be legally blind (PDF) in both eyes.
  • Must be residing in the United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
  • Must be 18 years of age by July 1, 2023.
  • Must be pursuing or planning to pursue a full-time, post-secondary course of study in a degree program at a U.S. institution in the fall of the year of application (one scholarship may be given to a person employed full-time while attending school part-time).
  • Must participate in person in the entire NFB National Convention and in all of its scheduled scholarship program activities (finalists will receive assistance to attend the national convention).

Gerber & Holder Scholarship Essay

Eligibility

• Be currently enrolled in classes with a valid student ID at a U.S College or University.
• Be a U.S. resident or resident alien.

  • Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in agricultural sciences at accredited colleges or universities in the United States.
